HI, Just wondering if someone could answer this question. A payment was made to my Walmart Discover card in the amount of 2791.00 on 1/7/09. The payment was made by Chase. I called walmart to find out why I had no available credit after making this large payment. They told me that there is a 22day hold on the payment/account. What I don’t understand is why the hold is for so long. Does it really take that long for a check to clear these days. I could see 5 to 7 days but, 22 days….They won’t even update my account until 2/3/09. They won’t say why …They just say that they don’t want to lose me being a valuable customer…I understand a hold but why so long and why not release a portion of what should be available.

Very frustrating since I don’t have all day to get this processed!
